Scattered Ashes are an abrasive Dublin four- piece.

Scattered Ashes are an abrasive Dublin four-piece ranging in influence from Goth to Punk. The band matches aggressive sonic textures with a strict sense of space, created by urgent guitar stylings and prophetic vocals.

You can hear their influences, but the product is entirely their own.

Taking cues from the likes of Editors, Interpol & Joy Division the band sit in a darker lane than most of their contemporaries.

KINGDOM

Described by CLASH as “Barbed, dynamic and potent” and hailed by GIGWISE as "Solemn and melodic with a deep reverence for the truth." Scattered Ashes boldly caught the attention of renowned tastemakers across the globe upon the release of their debut single ‘Love Is Not An Option’ in late 2020 receiving immediate support and airplay from Steve Lamacq (BBC Radio 6) and KEXP over in the states.

The hype created from the international attention led to their first physical release 'The Parallel Lines EP' selling out completely within its first week in Rough Trade stores across the UK. The next year opened up with them listed as one of the Hot Press ‘Hot for 2022’ and saw the release of ‘Feral’ and 'This New Will' to much critical acclaim landing on major Spotify Official playlists such as All New Punk, Melomania, All New Rock, The Punk List and Alternative Ireland.

The band followed this in 2023 with a string of sellout headline UK/IRE dates alongside supports with She Past Away, Clan of Xymox, The Chameleons and She Wants Revenge, and major festival appearances at Beyond The Pale, Sea Sessions and Electric Picnic Festival. Subsequent releases ‘Battles’ and 'Homeowners' were heavily championed by Steve Lamacq (BBC6) receiving multiple daytime plays, as-well as receiving playlisting from John Kennedy (X Radio) and Rodney Bingenheimer (Sirius XM).

The band opened up 2024 embarking on a mammoth UK tour with Meryl Streek, along with being named as one of LOUDER magazine's '10 Irish Artists You Should Be Listening To In 2024.' The band are now set to release their first single 'Kingdom' from their long awaited sophomore EP this June entitled 'All That Is Solid Melts Into Air.'

'Kingdom’ is a reflection on the acute sense of loss felt at the end of an intense physical relationship and the possibility of rebirth in its aftermath. The track examines the sanctifying nature of intimacy and how we as humans find our purpose in its ultimate end.
